SHIMANO Mairangi Bay Classic – Saturday 21 November 2026
Our flagship one-day event and the highlight of the MBFC calendar. Big fish, big prizes, big day out.
Tight lines and good times.
Mairangi Bay’s friendly local fishing club, bringing the community together on the water and around the table since 2020. Join us for four big SHIMANO competitions a year, great club nights, and plenty of stories. Keep up to date with our latest news and event information on our group facebook page.
Who We Are
We’re a group of like-minded locals who love nothing more than dipping a line in the water and then fibbing about the results over a cold beverage afterwards.
Established in 2020, the club has grown a great family atmosphere and is all about getting the community together to share a meal and a few stories at our club nights.
Membership includes a measure mat, entry into four competitions throughout the year, and a social membership at the Mairangi Bay Bowls Club, where we hold our club meetings and prizegivings. If you’d like to join us, check out our Membership page.
